Chevron World Challenge

PGA TOUR standout Rickie Fowler will join Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Steve Stricker and other PGA TOUR players for the 2011 Chevron World Challenge. Fowler, currently ranked No. 26 on the Official World Golf Ranking, will replace Brandt Snedeker, who withdrew from the field after undergoing hip surgery that will sideline him for 6-8 weeks. This will be Fowler's first appearance at the Chevron World Challenge, a PGA TOUR co-sponsored event held at Sherwood Country Club, Dec. 1-4. In October, Fowler won the OneAsia Tour's Korea Open for his first professional title, closing with a 3-under 68 for a six-stroke victory over U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy.
