Clark Kellogg to host Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament officials
announced today that Ohio State University legend Clark Kellogg will host the 2010 Celebrity Pro-Am. Kellogg will highlight
a field of local and nationally renowned stars of sports and entertainment as they team up with two amateurs and one Nationwide
Tour professional at The Ohio State University Golf Club - Scarlet Course on Monday, July 19 at 1:00 P.M.
Kellogg is the lead analyst for CBS Sports' college basketball, including the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.
He has been a CBS Sports college basketball game and studio analyst for the past 18 years. This year marks his second as lead
analyst, partnering with Jim Nantz.
"I am proud and excited to host the Celebrity Pro-Am at OSU Scarlet," Kellogg said. "The Nationwide Children's Hospital
Invitational is a great event and has strong charitable ties to the Central Ohio community that are very important to me and
my family."
From 1990-97, Kellogg served as an analyst for ESPN's regular-season basketball coverage. He has worked for the Big East
Network and Prime Sports. He has also served as television analyst for the NBA's Indiana Pacers broadcasts since 1990.
Kellogg averaged 14.9 points and 10.1 rebounds, scored a total of 1,285 points and pulled down 872 rebounds in 86 games
as a member of the Ohio State Basketball
team from 1980-1982. He led the Buckeyes in both scoring and rebounding as a sophomore and junior and earned All-Big Ten
and Most Valuable Player honors (1982) before passing up his senior season in favor of the NBA. Kellogg was a first-round
pick of the Indiana Pacers and averaged 18.9 points and 9.6 rebounds per game in five seasons before retiring due to chronic
knee problems.
The fourth playing of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational will take place July 19 - 25, 2010 at the Ohio State
University Golf Club - Scarlet Course.
