Player notes
Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Friday's second round
RICKIE FOWLER
It was "GO TIME" for Fowler on Thursday as he birdied five of his first nine holes and posted a 7-under 65. Fowler had seven top-10 finishes a year ago and is looking to start his sophomore campaign as strong as his rookie season ended.
DAVIS LOVE III
He started this week by being named the captain of the 2012 U.S. Ryder Cup team, but doesn't want to finish it with plenty of free time to start scouting potential players. Love was 1-over Thursday on the South Course, but will have a chance to score Friday at the shorter North Course.
BILL HAAS
He's not slowing down. After top-10 finishes in his first two starts this season, Haas birdied three of his first four holes, and his last two to open with a 67 and sit just three shots off the pace.
