Dean Wilson shot a five-under 65 to take a three shot lead into Sunday's final round of the RBC Canadian Open. This is Wilson's first 54-hole lead on the PGA TOUR.

Wilson has taken advantage of the sponsor's exemption granted to him by looking for his first top-10 finish of the 2010 season. The Hawaii native likes playing outside of the U.S. this year, his best finish on season so far is a T28 at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

Playing out of the Past Champion category, a victory would earn him the following:

• Fully Exempt for the remainder of 2010 and all of 2011 and 2012
• 500 FedExCup points. It took 354 points to qualify for the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup in 2009 and 494 to reach the Deutsche Bank Championship.
• A spot in the following 2010 events in order of play:

• 2010 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational
• 2010 PGA Championship
• A spot in the following 2011 events in order of play:
• 2011 SBS Championship
• 2011 Arnold Palmer Invitational
• 2011 Masters

• 918,000 points towards making the 2011 Presidents Cup team.
• 918,000 points towards making the 2010 Ryder Cup team.

• Carl Pettersson shot an RBC Canadian Open record 10-under 60 to vault to T2. This is Pettersson's lowest round on the PGA TOUR. His previous best was a 61 at the 2008 Wyndham Championship.

• Pettersson went from making the cut on the number to vaulting 66 spots to finish T2 entering the final round. Teeing off at 8:17 a.m., Pettersson posted his 60 nearly six hours before leader Dean Wilson finished his third round.

• Five players who made the 36-hole cut will not be playing Sunday because of the TOUR's made-cut, did-not-finish rule. The five are Arjun Atwal (69-70-71?210), Lee Janzen (69-69-72?210), Paul Azinger (69-68-74?211), John Daly (69-70-73?212) and Steve Lowery (67-71-75?213).

• Pettersson's making his third RBC Canadian Open start. His best previous finish in this event is a T11 in 2008

• Pettersson has held at least a share of the 54-hole lead five times previously, most recently t the 2008 Wyndham Championship, which he went on to win.

• Pettersson owns three wins on the PGA TOUR: The Wyndham Championship (2008), the Memorial Tournament (2006) and the Chrysler Championship (2005).

• Bryce Molder shot a 7-under 63 to jump 36 places to T5. Molder is looking for his first PGA TOUR victory, he's on pace, securing five Top-10's this season.

• Tim Clark made the first bogey of his week on the par-4 seventh hole.

• Clark, who broke a winless drought at THE PLAYERS Championship in his 206th career start earlier this year, finds himself four shots out of the lead. His first PGA TOUR win came in come from behind fashion.

• Clark is competing in just his second RBC Canadian Open. He missed the cut in his only other start here, in 2002.

• A win by Clark would vault him into the lead in the FedExCup. The 500 points would give him a 29- point lead over current leader Ernie Els.

• The third-round leader/co-leader has gone on to win 14 of 30 times in stroke-play events so far this year on the PGA TOUR.

• Current low-Canadian honors are shared Adam Hadwin and Jon Mills. Hadwin shot an even par 70 on Saturday while Mills fired a 66, both are T25.

• Hadwin earned his way into this week's field via the Canadian Tour Order of Merit. In addition to receiving an invitation to the 2010 RBC Canadian Open, he was also extended a chance to compete in this year's Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic on the Nationwide Tour, where he finished T27.

• The fourth hole has yielded zero birdies in the third round, making it the hardest hole on the course in the third round with a scoring average of 4.430.
