Editor's note: This week's Power Rankings were changed on Tuesday to reflect Tommy Gainey's inclusion in the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational. The Power Rankings that were originally posted on Monday did not include Gainey. Considering that "Two Gloves" leads the Nationwide Tour in money winnings, it would be remiss not to include him in this week's Power Rankings.
Tommy Gainey broke through last week to become the first two-time winner on the Nationwide Tour this season.
The Tour travels up I-71 to Columbus, Ohio for this week's Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational with a field of 144 players.
Gainey sits atop the money list after his win on Sunday at the Chiquita Classic and he's looking to do more damage.
There have been nine players who have earned a battlefield promotion to the PGA TOUR since it began in 1997. Gainey can become the next one if he wins again.
One of the unique aspects to this week's tournament is the invitation of some of the top amateurs in the country. Out of the 12 amateurs invited 11 of them were All-Americans this past season as selected by the College Golf Coaches of America.
This week's tournament will be at The Ohio State University's Scarlet Course with a purse of $775,000 and $139,500 going to the winner.
The Tour's season has passed the halfway mark but the jockeying for the top 25 on the money list continues.
Here are the power rankings for the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational.
