Like the Cameron Crazies, the students who camp out for days before Duke home basketball games, you'll flip over the selections of golf, dining and accommodations in this college town in the heart of the Tar Heel State.

Crossings Golf Club: The 6,527-yard Ron Garl design may not be long, but watch out for holes like the 452-yard 16th, which has a hazard running down the entire right side.

Duke Golf Club: One of the top college courses in the country was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., in 1957 before being redesigned by his son Rees 37 years later.

UNC Finley Golf Course: There is more to the Duke-UNC rivalry than basketball. Several years after the Duke course makeover, UNC tapped Tom Fazio to redesign its layout in 1999.

Four Square: Chef and co-owner Shane Ingram relies heavily on local farmers and suppliers to produce memorable meals served in a former Victorian home.

Magnolia Grill: For the best Southern cuisine, head to this converted grocery store for delectable dishes like the crispy pork confit in molasses-zinfandel jus.
