And while the golfing and scenery are superb, there are also enticing eateries, galleries, shops and spas all along The Trail.

Take advantage of the outdoor wonders by making fishing, hunting, camping or hiking your nineteenth-hole activity.

The Course at Eagle Mountain, Batesville

Eagle Mountain is an 18-hole championship course near the beautiful White River. Five sets of tees provide golfers a course suitable to their game. You'll appreciate the tranquil setting as the course traverses woods and gently rolling hills. Take in the charming community of Batesville, which has been recognized as one of the 100 Best Small Towns in America. This friendly city boasts three National Historic Districts and is rich in history and culture. Nearby, find unmatched trout fishing and floating on the White River.

Eagle Crest Golf Course, Alma

Glenwood Country Club, Glenwood

This masterpiece offers 18 holes of superb par 72 play, four sets of tees, four water hazards, two lakes and a mature, graceful layout. While in Glenwood, don't miss Billy's House of Guitars and Musical Museum featuring guitars and memorabilia from Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Elvis Presley and Arkansas native Johnny Cash. Take in the Caddo River and the cascading water of Little Missouri Falls.

Harbor Oaks Golf Club, Pine Bluff

Follow The Natural State Golf Trail just south of Little Rock to Pine Bluff -- the recreational, cultural and industrial hub of southeast Arkansas. Harbor Oaks has been voted one of the top 10 public courses in the state and is a challenging par 72 with water on seven holes. Nearby attractions include the Delta Rivers Nature Center, the Arkansas Railroad Museum, the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas and the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame.

Hot Springs Country Club, Hot Springs

The Hot Springs Country Club offers two incredible courses. It's a golfer's delight of lush fairways and breathtaking vistas of surrounding lakes and mountains. If you can tear yourself away from the game, you may have a hard time deciding among the activities available in this spa city. Home to three lakes and countless other attractions, it is affectionately known as America's First Resort. Cruise scenic Lake Hamilton on the Belle of Hot Springs riverboat, stop in for a thermal mineral bath at Buckstaff Bathhouse and explore the lives of some of the nation's most notorious mobsters at the Gangster Museum of America. For further adventure, place a bet at Oaklawn Racing and Gaming, a first-class thoroughbred racetrack.

Mountain Ranch Golf Club, Fairfield Bay

This par 72 layout features some of the most spectacular scenery in the Ozark Mountains. Set in a resort on the western shoreline of sparkling Greers Ferry Lake, the fun doesn't stop at the eighteenth hole. Sailing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking and camping, plus a shopping district, all await you at this golf destination.

Red Apple Inn and Country Club, Heber Springs

Red Apple Inn & Country Club is located on Eden Isle, nestled on more than 60 acres of gently rolling Ozark foothills and surrounded by pristine Greers Ferry Lake. Play golf on this gorgeous championship 18-hole course and stay at the Inn, which offers two restaurants, two outdoor pools, tennis courts, steam rooms and a whirlpool. There's absolutely no need to leave the resort premises, but if you must, try sailing on Greers Ferry Lake or fly fishing for trout in the Little Red River.

Sage Meadows, Jonesboro

This course provides a challenge set amid rolling hills, streams, ponds and mature hardwood trees. You will find plenty to do in the thriving college town of Jonesboro, home to galleries, shops, restaurants and a spa.

Stonebridge Meadows, Fayetteville

In the northwest region of the state, Stonebridge Meadows features five sets of tees and an energetic layout by architect Randy Heckenkemper that pleases golfers of all abilities. Book a performance at the first-class Walton Arts Center. Indulge in one of Fayetteville's many fine restaurants. And don't forget Dickson Street, the hip place for unique shops by day and lively nightlife after dark.

Tannenbaum is actually a peninsula surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of Greers Ferry Lake. Every hole is tree-lined, and elevation from tee to green changes drastically, creating one of the most challenging layouts in the state. Boating, canoeing and world-class trout fishing are on the agendas of many visitors. Not into water activities? Plan a leisurely walk along a trickling stream or pick up the pace on an award-winning hiking trail.

Thunder Bayou Golf Links, Blytheville
