The Kodak Challenge is a first-of-its-kind competition for PGA TOUR players, who must play at least 18 of the 30 Kodak Challenge holes to be eligible to win. A player's lowest score relative to par on his best 18 Kodak Challenge holes will be counted. The player with the lowest cumulative score relative to par wins $1 million and the Kodak Challenge trophy.
2010 KODAK CHALLENGE: The 2010 Kodak Challenge schedule commences this week on hole No. 18 at the SBS Championship. The second year of the competition includes 21 of the original 30 holes, with two tournaments joining the Kodak Challenge: No. 15 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., site of the Quail Hollow Championship; and No. 14 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, home of the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley.
The remaining new holes appear at returning tournaments that move to new courses and two existing courses that have changed holes. Twenty-nine of the 30 Kodak Challenge tournaments for 2010 have been finalized. An announcement on the 30th tournament will be made in the near future.
THIS WEEK'S HOLE: The par-5, 663-yard 18th at the Plantation Course at Kapalua
DESCRIPTION: The 663-yard, par-5 is the longest hole on the PGA TOUR. Despite its length, the picturesque hole plays downhill and downwind, giving long-hitters ample opportunity to reach the green in two. Anthony Kim posted an eagle during the final round in 2009 to secure a tie for second. (Click here for tour)

| First round |
For the second consecutive year the Kodak Challenge begins its campaign at one of the PGA TOUR's most distinctive closing holes, No. 18 at The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort, home of the SBS Championship. During the opening round at Kapalua eight pros bested the mammoth 663-yard par-5 to card birdies and take a one-stroke lead on the field on the first of 30 Kodak Challenge holes this season.
Kodak Challenge hole birdies were scored by Angel Cabrera, Paul Casey, Lucas Glover, Dustin Johnson, Jerry Kelly, Goeff Ogilvy, Pat Perez and Y.E. Yang.
Kevin Streelman claimed the first Kodak Challenge title at the PGA TOUR's final event of the 2009 season, netting the second-year TOUR professional the Kodak Challenge trophy and the winner-take-all $1 million prize. Nathan Green and Bo Van Pelt, both competitors this week at the SBS Championship, finished tied for second behind Streelman in the inaugural 2009 Kodak Challenge campaign. |

| Second round |
Paul Casey and Sean O'Hair were the first two golfers at the SBS Championship this week to eagle the Kodak Challenge hole, No. 18 at Kapalua's Plantation Course, the PGA TOUR's longest hole. O'Hair and Casey's eagles netted the pair a share of the early-season Kodak Challenge lead at 2 under. Perfect conditions on the 663-yard par-5 at Kapalua yielded a total of 11 birdies during the second round. Carding Kodak Challenge birdies for the second consecutive day were Geoff Ogilvy, Pat Perez and Dustin Johnson.
Nathan Green and Bo Van Pelt, who finished tied for second in the 2009 Kodak Challenge behind winner Kevin Streelman, played No. 18 at par for the second consecutive day. |

| Third round |
| Moving day didn't see any changes in the Kodak Challenge leaderboard. Eight more players birdied the 18th at Kapalua's Plantation Course, but Sean O'Hair and Paul Casey remained as the only two players who have made eagle on the finishing hole. As it stands, only three men out of the field of 28 have yet to at least birdie the first Kodak Challenge hole of the season -- Michael Bradley, Nathan Green and Y.E. Yang. |

| Fourth round |
Paul Casey and Sean O'Hair were the only pros to eagle Kodak Challenge hole No. 18 this week at the SBS Championship in Maui, Hawaii. The pair grabbed a one-stroke lead on the Kodak Challenge field during the first tournament of the 2010 PGA TOUR season. Hole No. 18 at The Plantation Course is the first of 30 holes this season in the chase for the 2010 Kodak Challenge title and the winner-take-all $1 million prize.
The massive 663-yard par-5 at the Plantation Course, the longest hole on the PGA TOUR, often yields a host of eagles. Thanks to Maui's famed Kona winds and some tricky hole placements, hole No. 18 tested the pros at Kapalua Resort. During the final round there were only eight birdies scored on the Kodak Challenge hole.
The Kodak Challenge continues on Jan. 20-24 at hole No. 17 at the Bob Hope Classic at PGA West (The Arnold Palmer Private Course) in La Quinta, Calif. |
