Unlike last week, no player in the field at the Travelers Championship can earn enough points to unseat Ernie Els from his top spot. He will remain No. 1 in points for a 14th consecutive week.
While Els is safe, Anthony Kim (4th) and Ben Crane (5th) could potentially be knocked out of the top five by players in the field this week.
Rickie Fowler, who has been ranked 12th for three-consecutive weeks, will move into the top 10 with a finish of fifth or better.
In his first action since the Memorial, Justin Rose would jump from 13th into the top 10 with a top-4 finish. Rose has two top-10 finishes in his last four starts at the Travelers Championship.
Nobody has played this tournament better than Hunter Mahan in recent years. The 28-year old has won, finished second twice and tied for fourth in the last four years at the Travelers Championship. Another finish in the top two would move Mahan from 19th to seventh.
The following is a closer look at 10 players trying to play their way into the Top 10 in the FedExCup standings, and what result at TPC River Highlands it will take to do so.
