Nine players have an opportunity to unseat Ernie Els from the top of the FedExCup standings and four other can move into second place with a win this week. Els has held the top spot for the last 12 weeks.
One of those players is Matt Kuchar, who has not missed a cut since withdrawing from the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February. He has 10 T25 finishes in 15 starts and sits just 41 points out of the Top 10.
Former major winners Zach Johnson (2007 Masters) and Geoff Ogilvy (2006 U.S. Open) could move into the top five with a victory at Pebble Beach.
In the under-30 crowd, Hunter Mahan, Adam Scott, Rick Barnes and Rory McIlroy could move from outside the Top 15 into the Top 5 with a win this week.
The following is a closer look at 10 players trying to play their way into the Top 10 in the FedExCup standings, and what result at Pebble Beach it will take to do so.
