Helen
Ross
TIM CLARK. He tied for sixth at Sedgefield CC last year, shooting rounds of 64-67-68-68. That tells me he understands the nuances of the classic Donald Ross design, and Clark is playing well particularly after that solid T16 at Hazeltine last week.

Mark
Spoor
LUCAS GLOVER. Glover appears to be starting another hot streak. He got a top-20 at Firestone two weeks ago, then he tied for fifth last week at Hazeltine. He has five top-20s in his past six starts dating back to his U.S. Open win. That's good enough for me.
If Spoor had the top pick ... Glover
Mike
McAllister
J.J. HENRY. He finished T4 at Sedgefield last year, shooting 62 on the final day, so he has good vibes here. And he's played well lately, producing top-10 finishes in two of his last four starts. He qualifies as a sleeper, but I'll take him as my expert pick.
If McAllister had the top pick ...Henry
Ceri
Mobley
DAVID TOMS. Had it not been for a Saturday 71, Toms would have been in much better shape than a T41 at Sedgefield last year, especially with that closing 66. We all know he's had a banner year. All that's missing is a win. Why not at Wyndham?
If Mobley had the top pick ... Glover
Ryan
Smithson
SERGIO GARCIA. Still in mild shock over Mike's pick, so we might have to revisit this issue next week as we begin the Playoffs. I don't care if Sergio shot 90-90 last week (and he nearly did).
If Smithson had the top pick ... Toms
Lauren
Deason
BRANDT SNEDEKER. He's playing well (three top-5s in his last six starts) as he returns to Greensboro, site of his first win in '07. At 75th in the FedExCup standings, he won't have the added pressure of trying to make the Playoffs like others at Sedgefield.
If Deason had the top pick ... Glover
John
Swantek
MICHAEL LETZIG. The name suggests a sleeper pick, but Letzig has top-8 finishes in his last two starts. He's only missed one cut in 21 events, and he held his own in that final-round pairing with Tiger at the Buick Open, which had to be a confidence booster.
If Swantek had the top pick ... Clark
Win
McMurry
DAVIS LOVE III. The North Carolina native and two-time winner of the Wyndham Championship returns to the Old North State. He's 35th in the FedExCup standings after nine top-25s this year and hungry to win again late in the season, as he did in '08.
If McMurry had the top pick ... Clark
T.J.
Auclair
CARL PETTERSSON. It's been an ugly season for the Swede who calls N.C. home, having missed the cut in half his starts. After winning here in '08, he had dinner at a fast food joint. He will find the magic this week and might reward himself with a Big Mac.
If Auclair had the top pick ... Glover
Brian
Wacker
KEVIN STREELMAN. This one falls under best available. Streelman has been up and down, but was eighth at last month's John Deere Classic and played extremely well in Greensboro last year with rounds of 66-64-67-68 to finish in a tie for sixth.
If Wacker had the top pick ... Glover

LAST WEEK: Helen Ross earned a runner-up finish when Tiger Woods lost by three strokes at the PGA Championship. She overtook Mike McAllister in the standings and moved into third place after three strong weeks :
