TOURNAMENT RECAP
Sergio Garcia used his putter to claim the biggest win of his career. After a clutch putt for par on No. 17 in the very windy final round, Garcia went on to par the intimidating 18th hole and then had nothing left to do but wait to see what leader -- by one stroke -- Paul Goydos would do right behind him. Unable to make the par he needed to win on No. 18, Goydos bogeyed the final hole and entered into a playoff with Garcia. The playoff began -- and ended -- on the 17th hole, where Goydos hit his first shot into the water, and Garcia landed his shot -- with a little help from the wind -- just a few feet from the pin. He two-putted for the victory to become just the second European PLAYERS Championship winner in the tournament's 35-year history.
